In an interview with Modern Luxuria Magazine, Sean Farmer talked about how quite often he has customers who are frustrated with the lack of off-the-rack clothing that appears different from what other men are wearing but also fits properly. “The majority of manufacturing happens in countries where the size of the average North American is not understood as well. There are limited options,” said Farmer.

So it comes as no surprise when the founder of the custom menswear operation in Edmonton explains that his focus is on customer experience and inspiration.

That’s where Suits by Curtis Eliot makes an impact. They design and have custom suits and menswear tailored for their customers. The Suits by Curtis Eliot brick and mortar location is a small storefront in the basement of Scotia Place in downtown Edmonton. There is a second location in Calgary. Clients of the business are greeted with thousands of swatches of fabric and styles to choose from and are encouraged to embrace fashion and clothing that fits their bodies properly.

Farmer says his job is to help more people to dress well by showing them how easy and affordable custom clothing can be. “We’re not just selling clothing to people. We’re hopefully inspiring them to be passionate about all their clothing,” admits Farmer.
