Peter Robertson Gallery marks a milestone in June while it tackles social distancing rules and COVID-19.
COVID-19 may have put a damper on operations but the virus isn’t stopping Peter Robertson Gallery from interacting with artists and lovers of art. Like most businesses, the 124th street gallery closed for weeks as COVID-19 moved into the Edmonton region but reopened in time for the May Long Weekend. “It was incredible to engage with people again,” smiled Camille Robertson.

Camille Robertson is married to the man the gallery is named for, Peter Robertson. The two have been together for more than three decades and are passionate about helping people to understand that art is about how it makes you feel and not necessarily what it might be worth one day. “Art is really an important part of people’s lives. It really changes their space. Buyers should really look for art that speaks to them and we love to help people to discover that,” explains Robertson.

The month of June is special for the gallery. Celebrate is an exhibition that marks the 16th anniversary of the founding of Peter Robertson Gallery. The show will run from June 18th – July 23rd and will highlight several artists.
